Vivace - Dy Dermatology Center - Dr Lady DyWe all want to maintain our natural beauty as we age — but we also want the experience to be pain-free. Now, there’s a unique NEW non-surgical system to help treat the inevitable fine lines, sagging skin and large pore size that add years to one’s appearance.

Dr. Lady Dy of Dy Dermatology Center in Glenview, Illinois, is always ahead of the curve when it comes to offering the best and most advanced treatments in dermatology. She is one of only few dermatologists in Chicago area who can provide treatments using the new, state-of-the-art Vivace RF Microneedling System™ to alleviate fine lines and wrinkles. With this new system, Dr. Dy rejuvenates the skin to return it to it’s youthful and healthiest state: not over-filled, not overstretched, just natural and beautiful.

Vivace is a non-surgical treatment device for contouring and tightening the face, neck, hands and body. This FDA approved system is the newest generation of microneedling with radiofrequency (RF), delivering heat to stimulate collagen production. More collagen means tighter, younger-looking skin. This unique system combines radiofrequency and microneedling to deliver results quickly—sometimes after just one office visit.

Dr. Dy is one of the few specialized dermatologists who can give you the full treatment with the revolutionary Vivace Microneedling RF device, right in her office.

Vivace machineThis new device is best in its class and is designed around the most important thing: patient comfort. It’s enhanced motor brings patient discomfort levels to virtually zero compared to other devices, which is why Dr. Dy loves using this device to treat fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment process is quick, the results are immediate and it requires no patient downtime. The best part? The results improve over time, which means your skin will continue to look younger and younger even after treatments are completed.

How the Vivace RF Microneedling System™ Works

The Vivace system uses three powerful processes: Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), Wound Healing Mechanisms (WHM), and blue and blue light-emitting diodes.

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)

After applying a topical anesthesia, sterile microneedles are applied under the skin and used to create many microscopic channels deep into the layers of the skin that can stay open up to four to six hours, stimulating the production of new collagen.

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)Wound Healing Mechanisms (WHM)

Vivace microneedles deliver radiofrequency thermal energy into the deep layers of the skin without damaging the outer layer of the skin (epidermis.) The minimally invasive RF thermal energy facilitates a natural wound healing process, which in turn encourages a total remodel of your skin’s collagen, elastin and wound healing abilities. Overall, this increases the skin’s elasticity.

Wound Healing Mechanisms (WHM)Blue and Red Light Emitting Diode

Pulses of blue and red light activate skin cells to increase collagen production, moisture levels in skin, and improve skin tone and texture.

What to Expect When Getting the Vivace RF Microneedling Treatment

The Vivace system can be used to treat almost all skin colors, including tanned and dark skin. Dr. Dy finds that three treatments usually deliver the best results, each four to six weeks apart. Some patients may need more treatments, and some patients may need less: Dr. Dy will work with you to design a treatment plan around your desired results.

The actual Vivace treatment only takes 30 to 45 minutes, but additional time is needed for topical anesthesia to numb the areas. Compounded numbing cream is applied 30 to 45 minutes before the treatment begins to ensure patients have the most comfortable experience possible. (The compound numbing cream can be purchased ahead of time to pre-apply in the comfort of your home prior to the procedure.) Those who have had the treatment say that the experience ranges from comfortable to virtually pain-free. Patients will likely feel nothing more than light pressure and an occasional, light sparking feeling.

Your Skin After The Vivace RF Microneedling Treatment

The Vivace is unique in that it creates tiny microchannels in the skin that remain open for a limited amount of time. Some dermatologists may choose to supplement the treatment with products—like serums, masks and recovery systems—that create and enhance better results with faster recovery.

After leaving Dr. Dy’s office, most patients show no indication of any treatment. In fact, most can go makeup-free because there are no signs of treatment to cover-up. To keep the treated areas clean, Dr. Dy recommends waiting at least six hours before applying makeup. It is even better if you can avoid wearing it until the morning after treatment.

Each patient is different and will experience different results. However, the collagen and elastin that your body makes is natural and will continue to produce at a faster rate over the six months following treatment. You will watch your results improve more and more each month.

If you are looking for a way to regain your youngest, most natural skin, talk to Dr. Dy about the Vivace RF Microneedling System™. She can rewind the signs of aging with the best radio frequency treatment system on the market with a plan that is made for you.
